Who We are
ASAL Youth Development Association is a multifaceted non-governmental, non-profit making, non-political and non-partisan development and humanitarian aid organization established in 2001 and headquartered in Hargeisa, Somaliland.
ASAL focuses on relief, rehabilitation and development programs, working on a wide range of sectors such as: vocational skills training and basic education, health, WASH, Food Security and Livelihood, Disability and Children with special needs, protection and gender equality, promotion of peace through the use of culture, and strengthening democracy, good governance and human rights protection of Somaliland. ASAL’s target groups are vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in Somaliland’s IDPs and rural areas.

ASAL Mission is to empower vulnerable communities in the Somaliland through motivation and capacity building so they can improve their standard of living.
